I went out to Lake Kegonsa to look for deer last weekend. With the grass very high now and all the cover from the trees and bushes I didn’t expect to have much luck.
All I managed to get were some nice photos of some rabbits, who seemed perfectly content to let me get very close.
Wanting to get a nice low angle shot I sat down in the grass, so as to be eye to eye with them. Of course this is Wisconsin at the height of Summer with all the little parasites known to man mosquitoes, flies, ticks, etc. in abundance. I had never known chiggers existed until two years ago when I got them for the first time. Never had them, mostly because I never stayed in the tall grasses long enough for them to be a problem until I started shooting pictures. Well, anyway, I hope you enjoyed the rabbit pictures.
