Morning Mist, Mergansers, and Eagles

A lone Common Merganser floats through the Wisconsin River mist early Saturday.

A sunlit morning with temperatures hovering around five degrees.

An idyllic time for sitting along the river and waiting,

while the Mergansers float and occasionally dive underwater to forage,

for an American Bald Eagle to appear.
