Beaver Environment

When I checked the beaver habitat this weekend, I immediately spotted one of the beavers swimming away.

I wonder where they live?

Maybe the geese know.  The beaver build dams to create a safe environment.  They feel safe in the water because the big predators like bears and wolves can’t get them there.

The pond and marsh area created by the beaver also provides a haven for the many types of water fowl that inhabit Wisconsin, including Canadian geese who have been sitting on or near their nests these days.

And in this case, these geese and the beaver, don’t seem to mind each other.

Have a good day.

I’ve always wanted to photograph beavers and a beaver dam. They are such industrious little creatures. Thanks for sharing!
