Brats and Eagles

Headed over to a friend’s house today to visit with his dad – his wife passed away last weekend.  We grilled some brats, ate and went for a walk.  A short walk – about half a mile – through some small-town streets, out the edge of town and onto a snowmobile trail.  We didn’t have long to walk and we soon were all pointing and saying, “Oh yeah, I see it!”  I managed to get close enough and the Eagle stayed long enough so I could get a few photos.  Here’s one of them.

I’m insanely jealous! I have been stalking an eagle pair this year and so far, no luck. I’ve only seen them once and of course didn’t have a camera with me.

If you have ever watched NCIS, you know Gibbs rule #9 is, always carry a knife. In this case we’ll modify that to, always carry a camera.

It figures the ONE time I think I can run to the grocery store without a camera in tow…
