Old Sam

Sam doesn’t give a hoot about politics.  All Sam cares about is cookies.  Lots and lots of cookies.  He prefers Iams brand but will gladly settle for Milk Bone.

Sam is an Airedale, which in the twenties and thirties was the most popular breed in America. That of course led to overbreeding and character trait changes people didn’t like. Highly intelligent and fiercely loyal they can be somewhat naughty. Sam, however, is a very good dog.

thank you randy, he looks good, and radiates intelligence … i dont think we see them much out here … in the country areas it is all blue heelers, cattle dogs, kelpies, labs, working dogs i guess…. we had a standard poodle once, our only dog 🙂

Sam is a beauty dog! I’ve wanted an airedale for years! My grandparents had several of them when my dad was growing up and when I was a young child. They can be rather high-strung and rambunctious though so I’ve always hesitated thinking that a lovely airedale and me may not be a good match of energy levels!
