What are you going to do today?

It’s supposed to rain, but I think I’ll take more photos.

Below the monument on McAdams Peak is the Illinois River.  This park is like Wyalusing State Park in Wisconsin.  Wyalusing is at the confluence of the Wisconsin and Mississippi Rivers.  Pere Marquette is located at the confluence of the Illinois and Mississippi Rivers.  Very nice park with some challenging trails.  Conditions are currently slippery because of the rain which makes hiking up and down the bluffs challenging.  My goal yesterday was to return to camp without muddy clothing from falling down.  I succeeded in getting back to camp without falling on my um….

I found this huge tree blocking the trail.  I tried to go around but the slope was too slippery, so I had to go over.  It was a fun hike.  Lovely view at the top.
