Crater Lake: Sunrise

Crater Lake formed when the Mt Mazama volcano erupted.  The mountain could no longer support its weight and collapsed, creating a caldera.  For centuries, melting snow and rain filled the caldera, which created Crater Lake.

Crater Lake is actually a live volcano, it just sleeps now.
